PROJECT ENGINEER (MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL), LAGOS, ABUJA, IBADAN& ASABA NEEDED

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer reports directly to the Project Manager. They are entrusted with interpreting approved drawings and allocating job responsibilities to the project supervisor and team accordingly. Ensuring adherence to contract specifications, approved method statements, and warehouse drawings .

. Their role encompasses meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively. The Project Engineer must maintain clear communication channels, mitigate risks, and address any emerging challenges promptly to uphold project quality, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Mechanical and Electrical inspection, troubleshooting and evaluation of installation works.
  • Coordinate project mobilization process.
  • Run the finances of the Project through the instruction of the Project Manager/Project Director
  • Coordinate all technical issues within and around the Project
  • Reading design specifications and technical drawings prepared by other contractors
  • Represent the company on all meetings and requests by the client
  • Prepare working and As-Built Drawings for projects engaged by the company.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships and communicate with clients to explain proposals, present research findings, establish specifications or discuss project status.
  • Implement assigned projects according to laid down specifications or standards
  • Providing analytical and problem-solving support, employing engineering skills, in support of business and quality improvement processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of handover documentation (Operation and maintenance Manuals)
  • Motivate and train staff as the need arises.
  • Provide management and leadership.
  • Confer with engineers, regulators, vendors and others, to plan and review projects,
  • Make presentation at professional meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc, BTech /HND or M.Sc. (or its equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years post NYSC relevant experience in Engineering services
  • Must be a registered member of COREN & NSE.
  • Candidate must have previous experience in site management.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit will be an added advantage
