JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer will oversee mechanical/electrical inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation of installation works on building projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager/Director, manage technical and financial aspects, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, manage, and execute installations as per project specifications, standards, and timelines.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of MEPF systems with architectural and structural designs.
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for project works.
- Conduct inspections and evaluations of installation works to ensure compliance with technical drawings, design specifications, and quality standards.
- Resolve technical issues on-site, providing troubleshooting and engineering solutions as required.
- Prepare working and As-Built drawings, ensuring they reflect the executed installations.
- Represent the company in client and consultant meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing queries.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of materials and services.
- Maintain accurate project records, including technical documents, inspection reports, and material submittals.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, highlighting project milestones, challenges, and solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of handover documentation, including Operation and Maintenance Manual.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel.
- Conduct training sessions for staff.
- Motivate and lead teams to achieve excellence in execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc, BTech /HND or M.Sc. (or its equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience in MEP building services
- Candidate must have previous site experience
