PROJECT MANAGER, LAGOS & ABUJA (ONSITE – FULL TIME)

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading teams to deliver the project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules and adhere to company’s control guidelines throughout the project life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities, and meeting project milestones.  
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned with and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.  
  • Prepare estimates and a detailed project plan for all phases of the project and procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives within the planned timeframes.  
  • Monitor staff performance, complete performance reviews, and train team members.  
  • Manage project scope and changes.  
  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project.  
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders. 
  • Timely submission and approvals for timely procurement in line with the project specification  
  • Timely valuation for claims  
  • Timely project closure with proper documentation and sign-off Other duties, as assigned Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.  
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff and workers.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.Eng. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering  
  • Minimum of 12 years post NYSC project experience in a building services engineering industry inclusive of 5 years managing MEPF projects  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. 
  • Must be a registered member of COREN.
