JOB SUMMARY
The Senior PMO Engineer (Electrical) plays a critical role in overseeing and managing electrical engineering aspects of projects. The position involves planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising the execution of electrical systems to meet client specifications while ensuring compliance with quality standards, timelines, and budgets. The role also includes providing technical leadership, supporting project teams, and contributing to continuous improvement within MAR&MOR’s PMO framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Planning and Management
- Develop and review electrical project plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and site teams to ensure the timely execution of electrical works.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, scope, and budgets.
2. Design and Technical Oversight - Provide technical guidance and review designs for electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and extra low voltage services.
- Approve material selections, equipment, and installation methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
3. Quality Assurance and Control - Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure electrical installations meet quality and safety standards.
- Review and approve test procedures, commissioning plans, and as-built documentation.
- Address and resolve non-conformities or technical issues in a timely manner.
4. Stakeholder Coordination - Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical and project-related queries.
- Coordinate with other MEPF disciplines (Mechanical, Plumbing, and Firefighting) for seamless integration of electrical systems.
5. Team Leadership and Mentoring - Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and site teams.
- Provide training and technical support to improve team competency and performance.
- Lead project review meetings and ensure effective communication within the project team.
6. Documentation and Reporting - Prepare and submit progress reports, technical summaries, and cost analyses to the PMO Manager.
- Maintain detailed project documentation for future reference and compliance audits.
7. Continuous Improvement - Identify areas for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in electrical engineering projects.
- Keep updated with emerging technologies and trends in the building services industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory capacity in the MEPF or building services industry.
- Certifications: Professional engineering certification (e.g., COREN or equivalent) is required. PMP certification or experience in project management is a plus.
