PMO ENGINEER, ELECTRICAL- LAGOS (ONSITE-FULL TIME)

JOB SUMMARY

The PMO Engineer (Electrical) will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, execution, and monitoring of electrical engineering projects. The role involves technical coordination, quality assurance, and ensuring that project deliverables align with client requirements, standards, and company objectives. The PMO Engineer collaborates with project teams to deliver efficient, safe, and compliant electrical systems on schedule and within budget. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Coordination 

  • Assist in developing project plans and schedules for electrical works. 
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of electrical tasks. 
  • Monitor and report project progress, identifying potential risks and providing timely updates to the Senior PMO Engineer. 

    2. Technical Support and Documentation 
  • Review electrical drawings, designs, and specifications for accuracy and compliance. 
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, including material submittals, method statements, and work schedules. 
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with local regulations, international standards, and client specifications. 

    3. Quality Assurance and Compliance 
  • Perform routine inspections and quality checks of electrical installations on project sites. 
  • Assist in preparing and executing testing and commissioning procedures. 
  • Identify and resolve non-conformance issues during installation and handover phases. 

    4. Stakeholder Engagement 
  • Coordinate with other MEPF disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. 
  • Address client or consultant inquiries related to electrical engineering aspects. 
  • Support procurement activities by evaluating technical specifications and supplier proposals. 

    5. Continuous Improvement and Development 
  • Stay updated on new technologies, methods, and standards in electrical engineering and building services. 
  • Propose improvements to processes and workflows for enhanced efficiency and quality. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the MEPF or building services industry. 
  • Certifications: Membership of a professional body (e.g., COREN or equivalent) is an advantage.
