JOB SUMMARY
The PMO Engineer (Pipe Services) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the design and installation of piped services systems, including drainage, and water supply, firefighting, lpg & diesel system reticulation, water treatment, sewage treatment system. This role ensures compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines while collaborating with other MEPF disciplines to deliver efficient and sustainable systems that meet client requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop and review project plans, material schedules, and work programs for piped services.
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
- Monitor project milestones, track progress, and provide regular updates to the Senior PMO Engineer or PMO Manager.
2. Design and Technical Oversight - Review and validate designs, layouts, and specifications for piped services systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Provide technical support for the selection of materials, equipment, and installation techniques.
- Coordinate with other MEPF disciplines to ensure integration and avoid conflicts during the installation.
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance - Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure installations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and design specifications.
- Prepare and execute testing and commissioning of piped services systems, including water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems, water treatment, sewage treatment, diesel & lpg reticulation.
- Identify and address non-conformance issues promptly during installation and project close-out phases.
4. Stakeholder Coordination - Act as a point of contact for technical issues related to piped services.
- Address client and consultant queries to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
- Support procurement teams by reviewing and recommending materials and equipment based on project specifications.
5. Continuous Improvement - Suggest innovative solutions to improve system efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Keep updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in piped services and building services engineering.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in designing and supervising pipe services installations, preferably in the MEPF or building services industry.
- Certifications: Membership of a professional engineering body is an advantage.
